Welcome

If you're interested in conscious living, then likely you're just as equally interested in Zen but simply not knowingly interested.

Usually Zen is associated with Japanese culture and religious or Buddhism practice, but true Zen (or at least the way this site uses the term) is emphasizing the value of conscious living.

Zen and conscious living come together and go hand-in-hand. Hence, conscious living without Zen is a huge oversight and vice-versa because these are not two.

"Conscious Flex: Zen & Conscious Living" is designed to offer a partnership of how these seemingly two are actually one movement.

Zen is the foundational spaciousness or presence from which conscious living derives. In the same manner that an artist, inventor or intuitive actions come from the stillness in the silence of non-movement.

In other words, Zen is a resting in the powerful space of not thinking about thought, not doing anything about doing, not trying to be the solver or understander, the knower collector but simply allowing the intelligence of life to flow through you and as you.

What is described can be thought of as meditation or accessing our intuition, but it's actually just natural living.

Often you will see kids in a natural resting space or presence and we tell them "snap out of it" because we think they are in "lala land" or "fantasy land" and not paying attention but actually they are simply being completely present with what is. It's natural to just rest and be, that's the flow from which insight and wisdom arises from.

Hence, conscious living is also the natural flow of how life organically expands upon itself. Consequently, conscious living is Zen living, when it's pure and without conceptual overlays.

  • Relationship between Consciousness & Reality

In the last article, there was a break down into the understanding of what consciousness really is and how it relates to others. This article explains the relationship between your consciousness and reality. Recognizing this relationship allows you to know how to shape reality through your consciousness.

All matter vibrates at different levels, even our conscious self and we attract that which we resonate with most closely through our thoughts and feelings. Every thought is creative, when thinking of the past then you create it, when recognizing that you do not have that which you desire then you continue to create the experience of not having it and when thinking of your current situation then you create it. Now to throw another challenge into the mix, you can not deny anything you already created since consequently you take away all responsibility, which is the only power you can use to change what you already created. In other words, if you are feeling like a victim then you give your control and power to the victimizer.

For example, let us say that you desire to attract more wealth by means of money into your reality. In order to successfully attract wealth through your conscious thoughts and feelings, you can not think of the past in a negative manner, "I have never been wealthy before. I did try to manifest wealth before and it did not work." You can not realize your current situation as lack, plus you can not deny your current situation either, "I do not have wealth now. I will act as if this situation is not here now then I can attract something better." Plus the simple act of observing and perceiving your current reality creates that reality. In other words, just the act of noticing your reality will create that noticing since every thought is creative. Hence this is the reason why life is a constant repetition, routine, and recurrence of persistent experiences. You are viewing a reality and thinking it is a new day but you are creating what you're viewing, therefore you are re-viewing the same reality you already created.

Not only does every conscious thought shape and create your reality but your most dominate beliefs create your reality too and it is almost certain that you hold limiting beliefs about your reality. For example, if you belief in mathematics and the chances of you becoming wealthy is limited, if you belief in objective reality that thoughts do not create reality, or hold limited beliefs about money (which were highlight in this article) then you will not manifest your desire to be wealthy. Even if have the belief that you can create anything you desire but somewhere deep down you also hold the belief that reality may not work that way, then you will create what you belief in the most. As a result, how do you create a different reality when you are always creating the reality you're getting? How do you think of the past without creating it in the present? How do you create a different situation without denying your current situation? How do you align your beliefs to match the thoughts that attract the reality you desire without thinking thoughts that continue the same reality or attract the opposite of the desire?

It is no wonder that very few people actually create the reality they desire and give up on the idea or belief that the Law of Attraction works. Yet there is a very simple solution to all those questions. The solution is in realizing that life is about a series of experiences that lead you to progression. All of your life has and is operating in a direction of conscious growth.

Let us use the 'parenting role' as an example: you have a child and they have always been shy. Extremely shy to say the least and it is affecting everything they do or will not do because of their shyness. Therefore, as the loving parent that you are, you try to convince your child that they have to overcome their shyness to progress in life. However, the child is convinced that they cannot change. They say things like, "I can't" or "it is not possible". Consequently, through the child's growing years you try to explain as much as you can about how to overcome shyness, but you seem unable to break them of their comfort level. Then through a series of events as the child grows into a teen they decide they need a job and have to step a little outside the comfort zone to have an interview, and they realize they need this job to move out on their own, so now they have even more of a drive. Through a series of many experiences like this, stepping more and more out of the comfort zone, eventually the shyness disappears and they end up choosing the choices they thought they could not choose.

In other words, everybody goes through a series of events on every level of their life that leads them to step outside the comfort zones, to choose the choices they thought they could not. The solution is when thinking about the past, think about it as if you are walking up steps and the steps of the past were there to gear you up to succeed in reaching your current desire and when thinking of your current situation, think of it as the final stepping moment that your desire will be realize. The more you analyze your past, the more you will see the significance that this plays on your life. Every desire you could ever want, if you look at your past you will see that there were events of experiences that were there to help you in this very moment. There is an agenda to creation with no coincidences or accidence's. Don't you already believe that? The more you can consciously see this pattern in your personal history, the more this belief will become dominate in your reality.

This way you did not create the past in the present because you are remembering the past as a situation that helps your present. You do not continue to create the same current situation by simply noticing it because you view your current situation as a momentary position. You can accept your current situation without denying it because you can now recognize that you created this situation to give yourself the stepping stone to now create your desire and finally you align your beliefs to match the thoughts that attract the reality you desire by simply being consciously aware that life is operating in a direction of conscious growth, creating reality without coincidences or accidence's.
