Welcome

If you're interested in conscious living, then likely you're just as equally interested in Zen but simply not knowingly interested.

Usually Zen is associated with Japanese culture and religious or Buddhism practice, but true Zen (or at least the way this site uses the term) is emphasizing the value of conscious living.

Zen and conscious living come together and go hand-in-hand. Hence, conscious living without Zen is a huge oversight and vice-versa because these are not two.

"Conscious Flex: Zen & Conscious Living" is designed to offer a partnership of how these seemingly two are actually one movement.

Zen is the foundational spaciousness or presence from which conscious living derives. In the same manner that an artist, inventor or intuitive actions come from the stillness in the silence of non-movement.

In other words, Zen is a resting in the powerful space of not thinking about thought, not doing anything about doing, not trying to be the solver or understander, the knower collector but simply allowing the intelligence of life to flow through you and as you.

What is described can be thought of as meditation or accessing our intuition, but it's actually just natural living.

Often you will see kids in a natural resting space or presence and we tell them "snap out of it" because we think they are in "lala land" or "fantasy land" and not paying attention but actually they are simply being completely present with what is. It's natural to just rest and be, that's the flow from which insight and wisdom arises from.

Hence, conscious living is also the natural flow of how life organically expands upon itself. Consequently, conscious living is Zen living, when it's pure and without conceptual overlays.

Enjoy!
  • How to Set in Motion a Desired Future

Beliefs are formed and adopted by recognizing patterns through a series of events, even if the events have nothing to do with our own personal experience. Why is this important? Everything we experience in our lives is centered on our beliefs about life.

All beliefs shape experience, yet not all beliefs are part of our reality. There are main beliefs and core beliefs. Main beliefs are the beliefs we have about life that match our reality. These are the beliefs that are developed through observing our everyday life and determining that life is this way because we perceive it to be. Having a core belief means believing in something even though we do not experience it as reality in our everyday lives.

You might say main beliefs are the strongest since they are the beliefs that shape our lives on a continuous basis, but core beliefs are strong too since you can have a core belief all your life and never experience it as reality because you have too many main beliefs blocking your core belief.

For example, one of my core beliefs is that anyone can make a living doing what they passionately love, yet I did not always experience this as my reality because I was perceiving/ experiencing life with main limiting beliefs, I did not understand the relationship between consciousness verse reality, and I did not live my passion as a career from moment to moment.

A strong desire is enough to create a core belief, but this is not the root cause of how any belief is formed. Beliefs are formed from a constant pattern of the same thoughts through a series of events. The root cause is continuous thoughts about something.

Thoughts are the most important device we have in order to shape our lives. First comes thoughts, then comes beliefs and it is our beliefs that determine the actions we take or do not take. In other words, what we believe affects every choice we make. The future of your life is set in motion and shaped by everything you believe. If you believe something is possible you are more willing to do whatever it takes to make it a reality. You only lack in action when you lack in belief and you only lack in belief through what you think about it.

There is a way to make all desired beliefs a continuous experienced as reality. It’s a gradual process but it does not take much mental effort once you begin. Once you begin something the rest is easy. It is the first steps in starting something new that is usually the downfall to making a change but once you start it then you give yourself the opportunity to see results.

I challenge you to start this, even if it is for an hour each day. Think of your mind as a computer and every thought you have runs a program. The program you are running (or thought you have) shapes how your life will operate. The recycling bin is your best friend. Every time you notice you are having a thought that does not match your desire reality, throw it in the recycling bin and start again. Since every thought is creative, if you imagine the thought is deleted then the thought will not be able to shape your life. Once you start this, you will begin only running programs of your desired experience. In time you will notice more and more thoughts. Gradually through this constant pattern all your limiting beliefs will be deleted and replaced by a desired reality.

Thoughts do have a tremendous impact in our everyday lives and I placed a five minute example here that you can try to prove to yourself that your brain does not translate the difference between your thoughts/imagination and actual experienced reality.
